Tasks and responsibilities of the committee

The examination monitoring committee at the school of medicine seeks various purposes such as assuring the quality of exams and improving the validity, reliability, and objectivity of the exams in basic medical sciences, clinical clerkship, and clinical internship phases so as to produce alumni who are competent, responsible toward the community, and committed in the provision of health care services to people. More specifically, the tasks and responsibilities of the committee include the following:

  1. Monitoring the final exams in each semester, evaluating the educational programs related to clinical issues at the end of the clerkship and internship phases, and overseeing the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE)
  2. Planning and cooperating in the implementation of the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) at the end of the clinical internship phase and announcing results in the form of passed/ failed to the students
  3. Attempting to improve the quality of the exams given to students in basic medical sciences, clinical clerkship, and clinical internship phases
  4. Providing feedback for the educational departments and the officials of the university on the quality of the exams given in the school
  5. Cooperating and collaborating with the university in the implementation of residency entrance examination
  6. Supervising and evaluating the periodic exams given to students in all of the departments and all specialties
  7. Following up complaints about exams and directing them to the related departments and offices of the university
